It's Not The Economy

I spoke with a business owner in Illinois today who reminded me of something truly valuable. Any difficulty you find with sales is NOT the economy - it's your viewpoint. Business is still going on - even in these tough times.

Buyers may be more discriminating, but they are out there. The challenge for the salesperson is to change HOW they prospect, WHAT they look for. It can take more digging, exploring, thinking. Of course, that's why they call it work! It can be fun at the same time. Embrace the possibilities that are out there. You may find real gems amongst the grains of sand.

Many times, these are the clients you keep forever. They really are worth the effort.
